Hi

My mini cuts out after around 30 mins running and blows a fuse, it’s not exact and intermittent. Switch out the fuse press the switch and it’s all running again

I’ve checked the wiring all fine to the fuel pump

So I’m changing the pump hoping this is the issue.

On taking the fuel tank out there’s a part on the breather pipe I can’t see in other diagrams or in the Haynes manual, and wondered if anyone can help.

Does this need changing/servicing/cleaning as well? It’s dated and black grey part is dated would be original.

I just don’t want to refit everything and ignore it.

Thanks

I'm assuming it's an injection?

When's the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

Yes it’s a SPI!

I brought it 6 months ago and I’m changing the filter at the same time and the pump,

from looking at the filter it was changed a long long time ago

Well that could explain it. Clogged filter means the pump has to work harder. Working harder means it draws more current. Then the fuse goes pop.

Thanks that does make sense

Do you know what the part is in the picture to see if that’ needs anything changing too?

Fuel cut off valve. I don't believe it requires any maintenance.
