Hello,

I’m thinking of putting a 1275 into an 998 cc engined car. I can do this but is 5ere anything that needs changing such as subframes or not can they just bolt in and out.

Regards

yes it will fit. you may have carb to bulkhead contact issues depending on the carb used but that can be sorted with an adjustable top steady as the engine was moved forward when the HIF came about.

The only intrinsic difference is the radiator top hose and bracket because the thermostat housing points in a bit of a different direction.

There may be other differences related to design revisions such as the clutch operation, type of starter...

Both of these examples can be worked round by swapping the related parts over.
