afternoon.. I need a guide as to whether I can use an existing fuel feed line to the standard fuel pump on my rebuilt 1294 A plus engine that I am putting into a 1993 Mayfair.. The auto has been fully removed to make way for the manual but Im unsure about the fuel tank and my new fuel supply.  I know I cannot use the auto fuel pump so will disconnect that but can I use the red marked fuel line to fuel up the manual engine via the standard back of the engine fuel pump.. Will it pull fuel through a disconnected pump?

Confused what you're up to. Is an automatic gearbox involved somewhere, or are you just putting a carb'd engine in place of a fuel injected one?

The simplest would be to keep the injection pump, with return fuel line, and just fit a pressure regulator, similar to a turbo engine.
