I'm in the process of fitting a verto clutch, I'm doing the flywheel bolt up with a 2foot Breaker bar my question is does it "pop" on like it comes off with a bit of a bang when using a flywheel puller? It's really really tight but the fly wheel cog isn't engaged yet so I'm guessing there's more to go? Any advice on how to get the last bit if it's necessary
Thanks

nope it does not pop. if it has you may well have fitted the offset key washer incorrectly.(so now it will need replacing).

PS use a torque wrench not a bar so you know you have done it tight enough.

It's going onto a taper thread, so should tighten. Make sure you it up to the correct torque of 150NM

I guess you are talking about the large bolt that goes into the crank? It needs to be lined up with the crank with the key washer and then torqued to I think 115 foot pounds,Check in your haynes manual.

Er I mean the small gear that's in the top right hand corner if the fly wheel that looks as though it should be running on the fly wheel but is in fact kind of behind it nick. Does it come forward to engage?

That's the starter motor. That sits behind and is fired forward by the solenoid.
