Fitting new maniflow stage 2 lcb (which is very nicely made by the way), is this gasket OK?

It's say 3mm too big all the way around. Will it compress to size? Can't remember how it's supposed to be!!

As Nick says it will be fine. Just make sure the torque is checked after a few drives

I have had problems with that gasket on my ported 1275 head. I had no suction through the carbs although with the manifold off there was plenty. I appears that the manifold was barely(not) sealing because of the size of the inlet holes in the gasket, Having measured up the standard gasket is only a fraction of a mm too small so I'm going to try trimming the inlets holes back a fraction to clear - then I will have a much better sealing area.

Off topic, do people run those LCBs unpainted? Don't they rust away rather quickly?

Had mine zinc plated - cheaper than chrome and handles heat better.
