Stage tuning is a dead commodity that, for some reason, has become a sliding scale of BS. No one truly knows what it all means, and is different to every tuner.

Yeah, It gives you a very rough idea of the spec. Mainly used as a marketing tool, and people use that for pub BS points. Same as people wanting a 285 cam in a mild spec road engine.  :tumble:

Nice.  That's really pulled the torque up at the top end compared to mine.  Bet that revs well.

Nice.  That's really pulled the torque up at the top end compared to mine.  Bet that revs well.

 

that probably has to do with the dual hs2s ches running. they apparantly give more torque than a single carb setup

Big thing not mentioned yet is that not all 998 are the same. Compression varies from 8.8 up to 10.4 and than you have different cams and final drives. Bolting the same stage 2/3 head onto two different standard 998 engines will give very different outputs. What year and model is your car?

Twin carbs made 5hp more. It was the Calver head that really made the difference


Is the difference at low down, mid or high RPM? What's the overall drive ability like compared to when it was on a single carb?

how old is that head?

I cant seem to find one on his site as a 12g202, or did he flow a 202? kinda confused :/

I Don't know my compression ratio

put up the engine number and that should tell us. Its good to know where you are starting from.
