Does anyone knows if you could use the mirror of this: http://minispares.co...|Back to search
take it out of its stalk, and put it into a standard screwed-in suction pad stalk?
I wanted to have a dipping rear-view mirror but can't seem to find one. Most eBay sellers wont ship to my country as well.
Thanks a lot!

I also wondered if this was possible as well.

Why not just stick it to the windscreen with the supplied fixing pad? It's got to be neater and more durable than a suction pad.

My intention is to use the original stalk to retain the original look.

I've got this one from Car Builder Solutions fitted to my Mini: https://www.carbuild...ng-mirror-196mm
The mirror itself can be removed from the stalk and fits straight on the original stalk.

Seems quite similar with the Minispares' ones.... Have you got pictures on how it fits in the original stalk?

I'll try and take a picture at the weekend, but it really did just push straight on to the existing stalk - just pull off the old mirror and push on the new one. I was worried it would be too heavy and would flop about but it doesn't.
