well i finally got around to doing something i have been meaning to do for years.

 

take one to bits.

 

 

as you can see there is a raised part and a groove where the two parts lock together is the rubber has to be very failed for these to separate. white paint added to the grove to aid you seeing it.

 

ps it was a right pain to get a part.
