Hi as per title need correct engine colour for my 850cc engine,have searched but keep getting conflicting opinions some say green some say black ?

It would have been black, green ended in the late 60's

Don't know if this is right but I've always thought of green as a BMC colour; black for BL and yellow for Austin Rover A+ engines.

And so another question chaps should it be Matt,satin or gloss,I just want it to be as it left the factory no bling etc.
