Serious problems with headlights, on dark rainy nights they are practically useless.

Simplest, easiest and cheapest way to rectify problem. All recommendations will be appreciated.

Sounds like a BMW Mini. This forum is for the old rot-boxes I'm afraid! 

 

I'm sure there's a forum elsewere for the new Mini's that will be of help.

first thing to do what ever car it is is to check that your are getting 12V minimum to the unit. if you are not then the wiring has degraded and either needs replacing or sorting out.
