It always amazes me how some small businesses, can sell or manufacture a brilliant product with great service, then fall down on the basic rule of marketing. i.e. communication with their customers!

As a business, you generally get one chance at a new customer. If you blow that first contact you've usually lost that customer for good. Existing customers may give you a second or third chance, then that's it.

I also include websites under the heading of communication. How many small companies think that a Facebook page will make a good substitute for a website, it blatantly will not.

So while you are toiling away making that next ideal thing that all Mini owners will lust after, put down the hammer and answer the bl**dy phone!

OK, rant over.

Best avoided by all, he no longer responds and will take your money without delivering. Really sad way to run a business but better no one else on here gets caught out from what looks like a growing list.
Plenty of more reputable companies to use with good service.

It's a shame that such a simple thing as communication is overlooked. Even within a workplace it is vital, let alone when working for yourself. Perhaps he will take note and as said, a few minutes answering the phone will reap its own reward in sales.

My two penneth..
