Has anyone cut away the top dash rail and made a miglia style bulkhead box
with a flat plate with a new lip as its top to follow the scuttle curve and for the windscreen rubber to sit on ive seen plenty of pics of the boxes from the front but not sure regards the dash rail

or do you keep the top dash rail and build onto that

haven't.

to be honest it depends on why you are doing this as there are many other things to consider. Cage and steering for 2. not to mention rules and regs is competing. oh and your fire wall.

Its goin to be a road car maybe a bit of run what you brung type stuff rather than a ou wand out motorsport car the box would take care of a lot of rot issues and have the look ime aiming for

All the track cars I've seen have kept the top dash rail. Some remove the bottom rail and shelf, others just remove the bulkhead leaving the crossmember.
