Just sorting out another leak.

There is quite a lot of oil coming from my drivers side inner pot joint. I've replaced the seal but that didn't solve the problem. I've wiggled the Pot joint and it does move. I've read up about changing the diff bush on the diff end housing however  my car is an automatic so I cant see a diff end housing.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks

You’ve definitely got end covers but they’re probably covered in a thick layer of gunk. Get in there with a stiff brush and some degreaser and you’ll soon see the bolts that hold them on.

You can see them in the bottom right of this parts page on Somerfords website. http://www.somerford...age=page&id=156

Hi

If you have not done these - https://www.richmond...pid=4&id=730674

Chances are these will be the problem. These just don't fit early early autos, but will be fine for you

So had another look but still cant see the end covers. Am I being thick?

This is the off side drivers side

This is the near side which I kind of see an end cover where the two bolts go through the red part. I'm gussing there are more bolts above the pot joint

There will be a bronze bush on the RH output of the gearbox but you really need to get a automatic gearbox workshop manual to figure out exactly how it’s replaced.

It’d be worth sending Guess Works a message as he may be able to supply you with the bush in its retainer machined to size and ready to swap in.
