Has anyone got any idea where I can get good quality grease to fill my grease gun? I just used the last of my Castrol MS3 molybdenum grease and it appears to be unobtainable in tins anymore.
While Molly Grease is a very good choice of grease to use in Ball Joints, it's not at all a good idea to use in in the Suspension Arms.
Molly Grease works very well, where parts slide over each other, but it shouldn't be user in Bearings that have rolling elements, like Suspension Arms. It usually doesn't allow the rolling elements to roll and so they slide causing flat spots on the shafts and needles (in the case of the Arms).

Would a good quality EP lithium grease be a suitable option for all grease points on a mini?
Off hand, I think an EP is what's recommended, but my own opinion is yes.
I've recently bitten the bullet and now using molly in the ball joints and EP in the suspension arms.
Lithium is a very good base and Clay too is OK, but it's not recommended to mix them.

As far as the coupling goes, I found an Aussie one that is real good at releasing when you want it to. I broke a grease fitting on my Kubota tractor because the regular coupling would not release. It is very narrow so it gets in tight places almost as good as a regular coupling and when it captures, it seals very well. However, the outer casing can not contact anything around or the coupling will not latch on. Not cheap though. The brand of the coupling does not suit this type of lubrication application though.

Ha - I was only looking at these on the counter of one of my parts suppliers last Friday. There's a few types and lengths and do appear 'the goods' but seriously over priced !
They did have a different branded one there as well, but equally as crazy priced too.

The Swiss made Wanner guns seem to be a good reliable choice
I bought used Wanner and Rom Pom grease guns from eBay for ~£20. Much, much better than any of the modern (albeit it generally cheaper) ones. Have a look on eBay, lots on there.

I bought a Wanner from eBay. The section that holds the grease is grease-tub shaped (not a slim bodies one). It has a chain that attaches from within the gun and runs out through a slot in the lid (even tho the lid on the body is screw fitment). Have you seen one like this? It still has grease in it from when I bought it so don't need to get the lid off at present, but doesn't look obvious on how to get the thing undone. If anyone knows....

Do you mean like this one?
Mine isn't like that (I have the slim version), but the design will be the same - the container the chain is dangling from will unscrew from the pump head. If it's been swung on by a maniac you might need to use a pipe wrench and a vice to get it moving.

Yep! That's the one Icey! Both yours and MatthewsDad's comments have been noted and next time I'm in the shed (at least 12 weeks away as I'm stuck away from home during CV-19 outbreak) I'll take a look
