Moving to matters away from the IJ Mini restoration, I found a picture recently on the interweb of a replacement for the gearbox rod change coupling. From what I recall of the picture it was long tailed proper universal joint, that appeared to be manufactured in cast aluminium or something similar and had a blue finish. It is just something that I would like to investigate further, but do you think I can find that picture again....

It would be great if someone knows what I am on about and could point me in the right direction. Ta muchly

Not the KAD type internal gear linkage kit was it?

Thats the one! Thanks for locating the thread. Amazing how your memory plays tricks, such as the blue finish actually being red and being on the rod not the joint!

I found that one as well, but sadly no it wasn't the one I remember

I never did take down the dimensions of that adaptor    Any questions just ask.

This would be a great kit to buy from the likes of minispares or KAD, if it was put into production
