Powerspark D45 Electronic Distributor Wiring

I'm putting a new powersparks d45 electronic distributor onto a 1976 998, however there were no instructions in the box and i was hoping someone could tell me where the red and black wires go from the new distributor, the original points distributor had one black wire which plugged into a yellow wire in the loom.

i would guess either side of the coil.

I would guess that too but you shouldn't have to guess with a new product like that.  Contact the suppliers.

That's helpful.  It would have been better if that information came with it.  It's rather sensitive jump starting isn't it.
