Hi all

I'm currently helping a friend with a restoration, and we are looking to use Raptor on the underside, and possibly the inner floors as well.

The bare metal has been etch primered, but do we need to use a 2k primer between this and the Raptor?

cheers

Ryan

Raptor can be applied over etch. I would stick a coat of 2k primer on first personally. I've used epoxy primer first and went wet on wet with the raptor. Bear in mind some epoxy primers state not to go over etch, well the one I use does anyway. Hope this helps you.

I used epoxy mastic followed by raptor, never had any problems. Just epoxy best over abraded steel, so I roughed the floor with p80 on a da.

Pretty much the same a I did but was just 2k epoxy not epoxy mastic. Seems tough enough to me, time will tell.
