A lot of the rubber products from a famous UK mini supplier are absolutely rubbish - I know, having spent endless hours recently grovelling on the ground replacing various rubber components that are not even a year old. :X

I am now concerned about the fancy kevlar radiator hoses installed on my rebuilt engine, and still have a box of 30 year old used hoses which might be better to install.

Catmint produces some nice ball joint covers, and MiniSpares now do some silicone ones that seem quite good so far.

Had a smirk at the canon printer remark.  Sad thing is the ink refills on some of these machines cost more than whole printer. - ( my daughter bought a cheap inkjet on sale for 29 AUD. the refill cost 35 AUD.  )

Back on track ??

I can only see the silicone ones at mini spades as part of a kit for correcting lowered suspension, not individually.

I have ordered some cat mint ones and call minispares to see if available individually.

I've seen some silicon ones on ebay from time to time.

The Japanese ones are brilliant, at least equal to OEM or better.

Unfortunately EPDM is the wrong material to use as it has a poor resistance to oil and grease. Info here

Apologies - the good MiniSpares ones are polyurethane not silicone
