I notice on Minispares, the part below only says up to 1980. Is it a different part for later injection cars?

Mine seems to be just glued on, and very little chance of getting it off in one piece prior to paint.

Odd, maybe worth giving them a call and finding out why!

Did you manage to re-use yours Steve? Are they not normally glued on? Seems there's no way of getting mine off without ruining it.

Mine was glued on mate. I cleaned it up and used 3m double sided tape to stick it down.

Perhaps I'm just being too ham-fisted with it. I will try a little more TLC! Thanks Steve.

I'm amazed double sided tape will hold it .... mine's doing the usual curling down of the lower edge towards the ends and needs sorting, I was going to use contact adhesive but maybe heated up a little it'll be soft enough to secure in place with tape, thanks guys.

It's the same double sided tape holding my headliner in. It's good stuff!

Mine was glued on in a few places with contact adhesive. We managed to prize it off carefully and stuck it back down again with double sided glue tape.

The outside of it was a bit rough looking and I managed to source a pretty decent stitched leather trim for it and were very pleased with the results.
