Serviced back brakes today for first time since buying my min. Photo is of drivers side after I took the drum off. Dunno who did the work on these. Shows some places can’t be trusted. Other thing that can’t be seen is that the bottom Spring was upside down so has worn a bit on the Hub.

It's been a while since I did shoes on a mini but I thought the handbrake mechanism didn't engage properly if you had the shoe upside down where the pivot is?

Don’t worry I didn’t put them like this, just taken drum off to service and wanted to share for a bit of a laugh as I couldn’t believe how wrongly they were put together. For starters the shoes were the wrong way round (note leading and trailing shoes) and also the bottom spring was the wrong way round. I’ve sorted it now but have got seized adjusters, add that to to do list!
