All,

I have recently acquired a genuine Tilt frame for my Pickup, and I have all the correct "fitments", on the car to install it (At least I think I have). The "bars" bolt to brackets riveted on the back of the cab, and the hoops "push" into two holes along the top of the side of the load bay.

What stops the hoops pulling out of the load bay side walls. There does not appear to be anything that retains the hoops in the side holes.... (Schematic attached)

Regards

The canvas holds them down when it is clipped into place.

Thanks Nicklouse at least the canvas is pretty thick,  I would prefer some sort of retaining fixing though

iirc, the hoop housings/sockets have holes in the bottom - if you had a threaded insert into the bottoms of the hoops, you could bolt up through the bottom of the housings to fix them in place.

..the downside would be that once you've got a bolt in there, any water that gets in would collect and rot the bottoms of the hoops and/or seize the hoops into the mounts

I see Somerford have these, though not too sure how this stops the hoops pulling up and out (bar the canvas holding it in of course). Not really sure what these add to the cause (Part No. 14A7744
