Fog Light Type. Not Position!

Best Answer smurfomatic , 12 June 2019 - 05:24 PM

That's great thank you.

Is that a mini Marcos? I like it. Lots.

Thanks. Yes it's a Mini Marcos - until about six months ago it was my daily driver. Currently not moving very far as the sunroof is leaking - the British summer...

Hi everyone, I'm raising this as a different topic as I piggybacked another topic and I'm on a slightly different slant. I don't need to know where I can fit a fog light, I need to know style or type.

Can I fit a Clear lens spot lamp style fitting, on the boot of my beloved Min with a red LED lamp, to be used as a fog light?

I have 'frenched in' my other lights and didn't think about the fog lamp.

I thought a boot mounted spot might look retro rally and easy to fit. Anyone know if it will pass MOT?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I have a fog light that is a red LED in a clear lens, and it's passed several MOTs without any problems.

My thanks for the reply Smurfomatic. Retro, fitting and clear lens with red lamp is where I am going to go. Lets just hope my MOT man is appreciative. mk1leg: I love the look of those lights. Thanks for the answer and the photo. Radford? please excuse my ignorance, who? what? where? readily available? Thanks for any help again.

No problem - to show you the situation, this was the car before I converted it. The rear fog light that was in a really sill position below the "bumper" has been taken out, and the right hand reverse light now has a red LED lamp in it.
