Got mine today and they guys at the local branch said that they have had at least 5 orders for uplifting since Fathers Day, so a nice bit of PR from the various forums for them

Some of you might recall the 'free flights to New York' offer by Hoover in the 90s. It was too good to be true - buy a vacuum cleaner, get two free flights to Europe or the USA. This was in the days before budget airlines. Hoover massively underestimated demand for the offer but iirc had to honour the deal for every customer. Now used as a case study in 'how not to do a promotion' on business and marketing courses.

Halfords just rang me to say my order was ready to collect, 3 days later than the original email said, but they're here.

Mine where supposed to be in store Tuesday but had not arrived. I called in again today and apparently they have been dispatched but not reached the store yet :-/

Collected mine yesterday after getting a confirmation email from them. Spot for £4, they also had a 4 euro sticker on them, didnt know that Halfords had branch's outside the UK.
