Hi

I need to order new brake pads for my KAD 4 pots, considering the Mintex M1144 pads.

Can anyone confirm the part number for these please, are they the same pads from the Metro Turbo 4 Pots?

Many thanks

I struggled with these on a road car never managed to stop them from squeeling so changed them after 6 months

The KAD calipers do use metro turbo pads but you will need to cut/grind the corners off the back plate on the inner pads to clear the caliper mounting bolts if you're using discs smaller than 8.4". If you buy the pads from KAD (expensive) they may already be modified.
Interesting to hear The Principal had issues with 1144's as I'd been considering these for my 7.9" KADS when the standard mintex's wore out.

I've got KAD 4 pot's 7.9" grooved, crossdrilled and vented disks...

I swapped to the Mintex M1144 pads from the EBC Greenstuff.  Never had any issues with them, no squeeling, just a very nice consistant brake pad.  Good from cold, no problem if being used for hard braking.  One of my favourite pads.

I did have EBC Greenstuff on the car.  Again no squeeling or any real issues, I just found them to be a bit inconsistent from cold.

If anyone wants the Greenstuff Pads off me, PM me a reasonable offer.  If not I'll keep em' as spares.  :-)

Thanks all for responding, I think I will order the Mintex M1144 pads (metro turbo 4 pots), but may need to modify them as they are for 7.5 discs.

Cheers

Mintex 1144's on mine, they don't squeel. You can get anti squeal pads for the backside of them.
