I don't recognize the type of light switch you have, where was the car assembled? looking at the photo suspect the switch has overheated internally. One light working would mean a blown bulb or check the connectors under the slam panel.

I have never seen the alternator with external regulator so love to see a photo of that area of the engine bay.

I can check where it was assembled tomorrow, think it was uk for export and sold in Sweden.

Could the bulb be broken and still work on highbeam?

Here are some pictures of the switch when mounted and of the "Voltage Regulator" and alternator if i'm not being stupid, hehe. I can get better picures tomorrow aswell if you want.

That is the plan. 1330cc, HIF44, 266 cam and a 12G940 1300GT head already on bench. Midget running gear and brakes. Minilites. Lots of ideas ... just need time and, more importantly, money. And a very understanding wife!

There are 2 elements in Headlights ,one for dip and one for main beam so yes "half" the bulb can be broke.

I am pretty sure you have a dynamo and not an alternator.

Your switch appears to be used on UK export models only

I see. The lights stopped working on high-beam aswell the other day, changed the relays just to be sure nothing was wrong there, didn't help. Changed the all the bulbs today and that did not work either..
There is a clicking sound when i switch the high-beam so the signal gets sent somewhere atleast.

So at the moment all lights except for headlights and extra lights work.

Also the ignition switch is changed and working fine now and the car hasn't died like it did before... Yet  :whistling:
