Hi guys
I have a mpi mini I took it off the road a few years ago, was running lovely before I took it off the road. Now I’ve come to run it again and it struggles to start from cold.. once warm it will tick over. But misfires and back fires on revs. If you pull the leads off when running number 4 makes no difference and number one barley makes a difference. I’ve tried every sensor I can see, new coil, new head gasket I’m running out things to change. Any ideas or anything obvious I should do ? Does anyone know what code reader I could buy to plug into it ?
Thanks I’m advance

What work was done while it was off the road?

The numbers on the coil pack 1234 go to cylinders 1234 and not 1342 if that makes any differance.

Have you plugged in the Cam sensor; down the back, timing end?

Have you removed and cleaned the main ECU Earth; in the engine bay, between the driver and the ECU?
