Hello all,

Owned my mini since march this year. Bought it in Surrey and drove it 310 miles home including getting stuck in traffic for three hours but the car ran like a dream.

Since owning it I have repaired a few things Inc Speedo cable, rear wheel bearings. I've upgraded the wheels to some cooper S steel wheels with A032r tyres. Recently fitted a formuling steering wheel and a gearknob which doesn't come off in your hand when selecting reverse.

Future improvements are going to try and be kept as period as possible.

Looking for a 1275 engine if anyone has a complete engine or something that could be built up fairly easily.

Will upload some pictures soon.

I got the steering wheel off ebay. They were fitted to a lot of european stuff in the 70's. I only bought it as I had never seen another.

Hi lo's fitted. Typically bought metric thread cone compressor but turned out I had imperial thread cones fitted. No problem though. Drilled through the front trumpets and a couple of wallops with a hammer had the things split in half. Lowered about 40mm all round.

Just need some new cones eventually and some shorter dampers.

Also fitted a smiths tacho.

If I knew how to I would. Not sure if I can with imgur.

Thanks for the comments. Still looking for a 1275 engine to rebuild if anyone knows of one.
