Quiet Exhaust For Mpi

I'm looking at trying to find a quieter exhaust for coop. As far as I know I've got a standard exhaust. But at the moment he rumbles through mine and probably all the neighbors houses and really not great on the ears after a drive. Lol
Has anyone got any ideas on silencer or systems?

Twin box pea shooter, cat, and your still thinking its loud? With the MPi soundproofingtoo, think you need to hear a single box exhaust.
MPi's standard are way to quiet aha.

At the moment all been stripped back of soundproofing so the driving isn't comfortable. But even outside of him it's loud. I thought was standard, maybe not!?

It’s really hard to understand how a ‘standard’ exhaust can found to be too loud, so as above check it is indeed standard first.

So by the look of it, its not standard. I've never changed it, but it looks like the RC40 box. I suppose that explains it.

Haha, yeah mine is guilty of that sometimes. When i thought it was standard i wondered why it would be so loud.
I suppose maybe the rc40 gives me a bit of extra performance for the extra noise.
Unless there is an equivalent that maybe gives a different tone, i'll probably stick with annoying the neighbours and setting off alarms!
I remember a thread somewhere, a guy was wondering about a dual silencer system, like they have on the bmw mini, to tone down his 140hp mini.

Interesting, I may try checking the downpipe and all the way back. Maybe its blowing a bit from somewhere.
The cat does look a bit worse for wear.
Thanks

I bought an RC40 back box from Moss Europe last year. Much quieter than the Play Mini box that was previously on there

I've posted elsewhere on this topic but let me tell you what loud is. I came off a ferry in Oban last week and something on the ramp tore the entire system off the car from the flexible joint back. That was loud!
4 hours to Elgin and I still have a ringing in my ears!!! :)

Ouch, yes i've had the backbox come off at the cat join and although it sounds awesome for a few minutes, your ears tend to be bleeding by the end of the journey.

Hey James, it seems mine is already an rc40 backbox. been on there since i brought the car 12 years ago.
I think the loudness may not actually be the exhaust, but a symptom of something else. Currently dealing with misfiring and running issues that i've got another thread for on the forum.
