Hi I’ve got some spectrums that are 6.5x10 and I’m struggling to find a garage that can actually get the tyres off and fit new ones. I’m based near portsmouth/Chichester. Does anyone know of anyone/places with experience, cheers.

They obviously ain't experienced in fitting tyres on alloys. Best to clamp the rims on the head edges instead of on the barrel of the rim.

Heat the tyre in the sun for a few hours before fitting

Most Mini tyres are fitted on from the back of the wheel, not the front.

Try your local grass cutting machine repair workshop that fixes those cutters that the council use with the guy sitting on it whizzing around the verges and parks etc.most of those have little 8" or 10" wheels on the back. Those guys will either fit tyres themselves or will know where to get it done..... maybe

The average tyre place wont fit 165s on a rim any wider than 6".  In the end I used Protyre in Poole, fitted 165 A032s on some MB 7x10s no problem.  There is one in Portsmouth, worth a try.,

I used the Tread Shop in Terminus Road, Chichester. They fitted my 7x10s no problem, and were good blokes too.

Look for somewhere that does quad bikes. The guy I use got a machine that goes down to 8". He bought it as he's into quad bikes.
