I had a look for this topic but there doesn’t seem to be a divinities answer. Issues anyone make a bulkhead plate to full in the space behind a centre binacle.

I found this awesome plate on a Japanese mini page but haven’t located where or who makes it. Any advice or anyone that can produce something similar I’m sure they’ll sell like hot cakes.

All advice appreciated as always.

Those are produced by a supplier on behalf of David Ainley, he runs a Facebook page https://www.facebook...arts/?ref=share
Message him in there I think they were around £70-£80 but they were a very limited run

That looks terrific, but without a "bump out", it looks to me like it would only work on cars with the clocks in front of the driver?

I believe they stick the engine side of the bulkhead so those 4 mounting lugs sit on the bulkhead so the height of the “bump” is the depth of the above blanking plate

Thanks for the contact.
I have flicked David a message via Facebook with these concerns and will report back once he's replied.

Watch this space, it would be amazing to find a solution to the gaping hole, which is a bit more permanent than just covering it with sound deadening.

Mark.

David has replied to my questions and the blanking plate seems to tick all the right boxes.

It fits in from the engine side of the bulkhead (no dash removal required)
It DOES fit centre binnacle vehicles, “common trend here in Japan”
Comes with fitting instructions but can be a little fiddley.

He’s out of stock at present, but I have pre ordered for the next batch.
Very helpful chap and will send worldwide (at your expense)

I’ll update this as/when I have any updates.

I just bought the last 2 he had on hand, but he says he can get more made up from his supplier. Looks like a really nicely made bit of kit
