This weekend I will be fitting a reverse light to my 1972 mk3. I am aware that I can fit the reverse switch to the gear shift.
would I be right in saying that the 2 wires coming from the switch are for positive. One going to the light the other to a 12v feed and the actuation of the switch creates the live link to light it up?.
I can't see any existing wires from the loom around the vacinity of the switch so will have to run a fresh cable.
thanks in advance
Kevin

That's correct

live > switch > light > earth

Does it still have a two fuse fusebox?
