Hi All,

Just received a new manifold gasket today from minispares. Was shipped in a jiffy and seems like it’s bent. Also the two faces seem to be separating in places.

Does this matter or does it all just squish in and make a seal regardless? Or should I be chasing for a replacement... don’t want to look like a fool if it’s fine like this!

Cheers! Alex

Hah ok. I’m suspecting an air leak so just wanted to make sure I was eliminating a suspect.

I do have suspicions that it’s something else but I’m saving that for a different thread ‍♂

I would not be happy with that gasket, minispares packers off loading damaged stock again!

Try fitting it with the damage to the top of the engine, that way if it does give issues you will know. I have used worse though

There has been no mention if this is new or old. Did it leak with this one one?

I’ve not fitted it yet. This is brand new from minispares. Figured I probably couldn’t return it after fitting it

The aluminium inside is what really makes the seal, no problem at all to be honest.

I'd use that. (just to confuse things further!)

From experience of changing this gasket quite abit, fit the best type you can, so if you have any doubt..

Found the med & swiftune premium ones pretty good.

It’s perfectly fine. They’re very easy to bend

Ok thanks all. Advice very much appreciated! I’m just gonna use it, see how I get on then. Job for the weekend so probably wouldn’t get a replacement in time. If I have any suspicions later on with it then I’ll rip it out and just get a better one.

As others have said, I too would use it and have used far worse.
