Hi, I need to sort out an agreed valuation on my 1997 cooper sports pack with 8139 genuine miles. All totally original, waxoyled from new, no rust, scratches or dents. Any suggestions on valuation to ask for?

Thanks in advance.

The Cooper Register can value it for you if you're a member. Also the British Mini Club offer the service. You get a certificate with its value that most insurance companies will take. They charge £10/15 if you're a member and maybe a bit more if you're not. You send them some detailed photos and a letter about the car and post the valuation back to you.

BMC can value it.  They did mine after i fell out with my insurance company trying to undersell my car.

Can't your car insurer do an agreed valuation?

I'm with HIC and they do agreed valuation for a smallish fee. Just need to send pics and receipts of work carried out. Other similar Mini/Classic car insurers will do the same.

Lovely car take care of it

Basically look for what you could get something similar for and add a fair chunk of dough. They can only say no and revise the valuation. For yours for insurance I would probably try 15 maybe 20k.

exactly this .. no point in paying for a valuation .. think how much you would need to replace it at value it accordingly. They will need photos of all sides, back, front, interior, engine etc, and either agree or not. I've never had mine queried. I've never had to claim though ...

I’m with Lancaster and agreed valuation is £18
Last year it took 6 weeks to come through though so you are at ‘market value’ until then
