Hi all,

 

I'm new here and new to Mini.  I recently brought a 1998 mini Cooper Sports LE a little blind from an auction out here in Japan.  I've been looking for a mini for a while and got this for a steal.  Seems to have a few issues, but I hope nothing major.  It seems a genuine 1998 mini Cooper Sports LE from what I can see, the only odd thing is it is stated as an automatic.  I've seen loads of autos out here but never on this limited model.  Anyway I'm hoping to receive it tomorrow or Wednesday, so all will be revealed then.  I included the auction pics to give any of you who are interested an idea, that and the sheet are all I've seen.

Looks a very nice clean car, yeah from those pics its an auto, I would say 50% of Japanese minis are autos. This looks a very clean little car.

Excellent - this is my 'one that got away'. One of several cars I wish I had kept. Enjoy! 

 

Is it a black or green one? I've seen quite a few Japanese LE's come up. Not sure if they made a lot more than the 100 or so UK cars?
