I've been looking all over the forum and cannot find an answer to my question.

I've got a 95 SPI mayfair and from what i've read the SPI's came with wiring for spot lamps. Correct?

Well I hope it is as I have been looking in the engine bay and on the spare loom I have for these elusive connectors. There is nothing behind the grill in terms of connectors but on the wiring to the headlights I have noticed that on both sides just next to the grommet going through the inner wing there is the White and Blue wire which is for highbeams. On the main loom there is a double female connector, one is occupied by the high beam and the other is spare.

Is this where I would connect the spot lamps too? There is a lot of spare wire on the headlight cable that has been folded over but the female connectors are on the loom and cannot be moved.

Thanks

Ross

To fit the spots on an SPi there is an additional loom that joins to the main loom.  If I remember correct.

Blue /white joins to the bullet female on RH side.

Above the servo you will find a brown wire with a female spade.

And the black joins the earths on the RH wing.

The extra loom has a fuse and relay ( fits beside horn relay) and wires to the front grille with two connectors for spots.

I haven't seen the Rover loom for sale anywhere but it is something that could be easily removed from a scrapped car.

So is this the type of loom I am after?

My 1994 sprite and 1994 Italian job looms both have additional fog light wires to the front and rear(in the boot I think it's for LHD cars) high beam wiring can be connected using the extra connection on the standard loon connections behind the grille
