anyone know if it's possible to replace the wings, front panel, and inner wings without removing the engine and the front subframe?

if i remove the two bolts at the front where the subframe meets the panel will the car still hold up in place? Don't want to find it sinking in the middle!!!

many thanks,

If the rest of the car is sound and not rotten, it will stand up fine, but getting to everything you need to, to weld and paint, it would save a load of time to strip it out and you'll likely end up with a better job.

I'd advise doing any other for replacement then do the front end, it's easy to do. My advice is to keep the bonnet in place so you can line the front panel up using the bonnet catch then fit the wings. We use small screws to pull hold the wings once we're happy.

A spot welder with the correct arms makes life so much easier but you can also plug weld with the mig welder.
