I have looked over other threads and online generally and can’t seem to get any opinions or pics of one of these pads fitted..

Price doesn’t always equal value i Know.... I already have one as it came with my car when I bought it. Am trying to find ways to deaden the sound and I have just had a complete bare metal respect so am conscious of covering the nicely painted surfaces that are visible in dynamat.
How have people fitted these? Do they stay put. I was thinking of securing some kind of tabs with clips - a bit like how you keep car mats from slipping to secure it in 6-8 locations under the bonnet. Rather than gluing the thing to death.
Thoughts?

I'm loathed to glue these things in place because I would like inspect behind once in a while for rust.
I was hoping someone would manufacture a one piece rigid type, similar to modern cars, that could be held onto the cross members with plastic clips.
