I thought this bit of research might be of interest to classic Mini enthusiasts!
In a survey of 2000 UK residents, the Mini was voted one of the most popular but also the most loved first cars.
For every decade from the 1950s to the 2000s - the Mini polled in the top 10 most popular first cars, topping the poll in the 70s.
It was also the most popular first car ever in Scotland and the second most loved first car among new drivers with 97% saying they loved their Mini.
