Haha ah man I was excited to have the problem solved! No worries though.

It hasn't got the switch under the pedal. I did check as I thought the same.

I have just done another log, and noticed that the ignition advance still bounces around like crazy at idle, but once the engine was warm, i revved it a tiny bit and thereafter the ignition advance stayed at 12 at idle, didn't bounce around at all.

I think I have an old version of mems rosco on my laptop at home so I'll try it on that. If the laptop still works. Not been turned on for a few years...

would be better in any case to have a log with mems gauge, mems logger or mems rosco, they log up to 50 values while mems diag logs only about 20

this time engine was running much better. But IAC drops down to zero and has a spike to the end of the run. Then a few seconds later, ign adv is steady at 12 degrees. I do not know why. Lambda was always at about 400  no closed loop. Maybe mems logger or mems rosco logs will solve the problem with more readings.

I have imported it to excel so you can see what the rows and columns are.

Try to get a logfile with your laptop.

So the second big arrow, just before the ignition advance becomes steady, that's when I revved the engine slightly. It's the only time that I revved the engine in the whole run.

I have memsgauge on my laptop so I'll try to get a log with that tomorrow. Or possibly I'll just install memsrosco.

Thanks for taking the time to put the values into Excel, that's super helpful. it is starting to make sense now!

Got a log with my laptop on Sunday. I only have memsgauge on there, so I used that. But it only seems to read about 9 metrics, not the 50 or so of mems logger or mems rosco. So I'll download those and do another scan when I can! Might not be until the weekend though.

I've attached the memsgauge log file but i don't think it's any more helpful than the memsdiag ones.

Do give me a shout if/when the bug with memsrosco is fixed so that I can create these charts myself. Then i can stop spamming the forum haha!

ps. @genpop did you write memsrosco?

Engine seems to run fine without the lambda. It never switches to closed loop. Check the plugs or change sensor.Download mems-rosco and you will see yourself!
