Hello
I intend to take my engine out
(Get it resprayed and do some work myself with engine out)
Never taken out
It's a 1989 mini mayfair 998cc
Anyway my question is
Can I move the car about with engine out
By pushing it (maybe a silly question )

Sure. As long as you reattach the ball joints.

You'll need to refit the balljoints, then depending on if you split the pot joint or remove the pot joint complete you'll need rubber gloves to keep the ball bearings clean and safe.

We just pulled and installed an engine in a 1989 Mini 35 Anniversary. A search here will help. I posted quite a few pictures. You’ll need to remove the brake boost, carb and manifold out of the way. Alternator also as it’s a tight squeeze.

Ok I'm nearly there .
So far taken out carb/air filter.brake servo .
Starter motor .alternator.brake fluid tank.
Radiator.heater hoses . (Few nuts and bolts really hard to get off?.
Hopefully get it out next week.
Found a friend of a friend who's lending me a crane.
