HI, I'm the new one.
44 years old, for 22 years a mini is part of our family. At the moment it's a Mini Van from 1968.
The mini has got a built up engine identical to the MG Metro engine.
- Engine size: 1293cc
- roller tip rocker 1.5 ratio
- modified cylindre head with
- Valves: 36mm x 30mm
- compression: 10,2 : 1
- Distributor: Swiftune 59D non vac
- cam shaft: kent cam 266
- fuel: 98 octane
From a friend of mine I bought the Swiftune distributor.
The engine is running but I'm not sure about the exact ignition curve (of the 16 possibilities). I already asked at swiftunes, they recommend starting with the large bore road and track day curves first. But I'm afraid of destroying something..
My favorite curve would be number #11... and I'm looking for a curve similar to aldon yellow.
I also already searched through the forum, but still am not sure which one to take...
Would be great if you could help me, please tell me, if I have to deliver further details..
See you at the IMM.
