I've been getting all sorts of great info from this forum. Fantastic source.

 

Anyway.....I have recently removed the original  AP brake callipers from my 1998 cooper sports pack. I plan to replace them as part of a refresh.  My mini hasn't been driven in about 7 years.  its been sitting in the garage all that time, with the occasional drive of about 5 mtrs to the 

 

My question is.........do people buy these callipers to refurbish?  Just looking to off-set the cost of buying the new ones.

Not really. You can buy refurbished ones for about the price of the parts.
