While investigating my hunting idle and poor performance when engine is cold, I noticed using my Crypton ACT that the intake tank air temp is reading 15degC when the room temp is 24degC (with engine running or not). I replaced the sensor and it is still reading the same. It does increase when the engine is hot. I noticed that it reads a constant 20degC with the sensor unplugged completely so I tried running the engine like that - the cold start performance wasn't noticeably better.
Any idea why it is reading 9 degrees low? Do they all do this?
