Is it correct the bronze bush inside the primary gear (back one) can rotate inside the primary gear itself?

Just so we are on the same page, the back one is the top hat shaped one.

That one shouldn't - no.

The front one unless it's a fully floating type will not spin, the rear, top hat one should not spin.

Thanks guys. I've received a minispares one and the top hat one is spinning within the gear itself.

Sorry guys getting confused.
Pic below of bush that is spinning. It's the one under the gear itself.
The other side under the spline is fixed

Before jumping in to anything too far here, have you got a link or part number of the gear you actually purchased?

According to the info on their webpage with that, it should be a fixed bush in that one.

I thought all the minispares straight cut primary gears used the floating bush these days although it's not mentioned in that add, still showing it for the 998.
Looks like the bush is retained by a circlip in your picture, thats normally a floating bush. I have the minispares 22 tooth sc evo primary, it has a floating bush.

It's the floating type, it has the steel clip fitted which keeps it in place.

The website is obviously out of date.

The one you have in your picture has the circlip there for has the floating bush.  It should turn in the gear.
