I've just rebuilt a standard 1275 engine as a spare. Had it running for about 10 minutes just to make sure oil pressure is good. Now I want to store it away for a rainy day. I've left the oil in it and blanked off the head ports, left the plugs in, withdrawn the dizzy drive. Drained the water and removed the radiator. Blanked the transfer case breather and dizzy hole. What else should I be doing?

I added a drop of oil down each plug hole then rotated the engine by hand for a couple of rotations. Other than that and what you have done already unless you bag the engine and then place Silica Gel Desiccant bags around the engine then not a lot more you can do.

My other engine i sprayed in GT85 laid some Desiccant bags on it then covered it with a blanket. (no cylinder head on it. The bores were oiled as well)

Thanks, I've done the oil down the plug holes and rotated. I also sprayed WD40 into the inlet ports.
