Anyone have experience of the Overheating Buzzer going off on there Japanese Mini and what they did? Is there a way to take this out of the loop? Appreciate any info.

Many thanks for the info. Have been under my mini and because it has a custom exhaust, the last owner did not fit the original pipe connecting the Cat to the back box, which should have a connection to fit Cat overheating sensor. As this was not fitted the sensor has been wired up.
It would seem the buzzer alarm can just be by passed as it is not connected to ECU. It just seems it is an alarm which is not fitted to UK Mini's ;-(
I am going to see that the Mini passes emissions tests, if not will put a standard/UK exhaust and refit overheating sensor. I have found a contact in Japan where I can get a new overheating sensor, if I need one.

My car came in from Japan with a Valtain exhaust with the sensor bung in it. Replaced the exhaust with a Maniflow and just removed the sensor no issue.

Had the dash out so removed mine a few weekends ago. Images for reference (note that I had cut the sensor off)
