Anyone know where you can get the big wiring grommet which sits in the parcel shelf under the central speedo binacles?  Actually I think the binacles are shaped to fit around it.  Can't find it or a part number for it.

Could well be thanks, I'll try measuring it.  I'm not removing the wiring so will have to cut the grommet, fit it and restick it somehow.

This is the grommet:

It had been cut in order to fit it but is now deteriorating:

The hole in the parcel shelf is a slightly odd size at 1.73".

Someone must sell these, you can get just about everything else.

When looking around for grommets, I've found these days there's (proper) rubber ones and there's PVC or 'plastic based' types.

The rubber ones are really good and these are what I use when I can find them in the size I'm after.

The 'plastic based' types I find dreadful things, they are very hard, and difficult to fit. Some off questionable cable protection.

People must need these fairly often, I'm just suprised that I can't find it listed in the Minispares parts manual and can't find it searching their website.

Thanks, that'll do the job.  I must ask Minispares why they don't sell one.

I'll have to cut it to fit it and then re-stick it together.  What's best to use which won't damage the rubber?

Also you can get grommets here:
https://uk.rs-online...ubber-grommets/

As said above, don't go for plastic grommet. It's crap

Well the website picture looks about right http://www.minispare...sic/rfr210.aspx but then they brought one out more like this for a 3/4" hole https://www.autospar...e-size-3-4.html

I told them what I wanted it for and they said they don't supply that one; marvellous.

Again take a look at the RS. They have tons of grommet references. Quite sure they have what you are looking for
