Blue with white roof, wheels and mirrors
Full restoration carried out 2011 – 2013 @ 51k miles Including: Front and rear floors, Inner and Outer sills, Full front end including inner wings as well as all outer panels. Stone chipped underneath and then full car painted. Extensive collection of photographs of all this work are available.
All suspension, steering and brakes were either renewed or refurbed. Both subframes blasted and powder coated.
Hi-Low Adjustable height suspension with new rubber cones and KYB GasAdjust shock absorbers.
Standard specification brakes – 8.4-inch discs on front with standard callipers – standard spacer type drums on rear. Braided brake lines all round.
Engine rebuild January 2014 @ 60k miles
998 A+ block bored +80 to 1062cc with flat top pistons
12G295 Cylinder head with big valves and unleaded valve seats, skimmed to give 10:1 Compression
Kent 266 Cam and new followers, new timing chain and tensioner, timed correctly for this cam
MiniSport Forged rockers 1.3:1 ratio
Lightened flywheel
Metro A+ electronic ignition and distributor
Maniflow LCB exhaust manifold and Y-Piece with RC40 single box side exit exhaust
HS4 1.5” carburettor with K&N Cone Air filter
Car drives fantastically with this engine, very quick for a 998.
Gearbox rebuild January 2014 @60k miles by Green and White Minis.
12x6 Deep Dish Revolution wheels powder coated white and 4 brand new Yokohama A539 Tyres.
Interior
1.3i Cooper Half Leather seats and leather steering wheel
Cooper door cards with alloy door furniture and metro door bins
Cooper full width dash wrapped in carbon fibre look vinyl and black dash rails
Black carpet and black headlining
3 clock instrument cluster plus 3 additional gauges
Pioneer radio/cd player with 2 speakers on parcel shelf and a speaker in each door bin
Red front inertia reel seat belts, grey rear 3 point static seat belts.
In 2018 the outer sills and door steps were replaced and rust repairs carried out on bottom of O/S door skin.
Recent oil, oil filter and spark plugs.
Minor rust where front panel joins front outer wings causing paint to bubble, but generally a tidy presentable, usable mini all round.
Car was a Cat C write off when I purchased it, all repairs to rectify this are photographed throughout and the car passed a VIC check in February 2013.
