Hi all,
For sale is my old MPI engine with no gearbox. Needs full rebuild.
It's been sat for almost 15 years untouched but considering that it's in fairly decent condition. I took it out of my old '98 cooper before I went to university and started dismantling it to rebuild but never got back into it having left to uni. Lo and behold I find my uncle still has it in his garage 15 years later! Anyway pics to follow of everything I've got. Sold as seen.
Haven't managed to turn it over by hand but crank, main caps, rods, pistons, cam and inner engine all seem in good condition, protected by the oil. Crud on top of pistons seems to have preserved them as I scrubbed off the top of one of them. Waterways look good too.
Cylinder head is complete and have a pot of bits with all the studs, nuts and bolts you can't see on the engine. Alternator bracket is also in the pot.
More than happy for you to come and inspect or I can send more pics if you'd like before committing. I'm in Wokingham, Berkshire.
I'd like £250 but will take sensible offers and could throw in a few other bits from my metro engine rebuild which have become surplus to requirements. Thanks for looking.
