Very reluctant sale due to lack of use I only covered 900miles last year and it’s been even less this year around 400 miles due to the fact I now cycle to work so now is the time for someone else to benefit from this classic but total useable daily drive.
First registered April 1989
5 doors with central locking as standard
Only covered 30,950 miles from new
Mot till October 2020
Mg metro 1275 leaded engine ( 72bhp version)
Vented front disc brakes as standard
New valve stem seals fitted
All suspension fluid replaced and pumped up to correct ride height
Original Austin 12” alloy pepper pot wheels with 5 new tyres
Reg etched windows
Roof level clock
Standard sunroof
Blue metallic paint
Never been welded
Agreed insurance value £3500
New clutch plus gearbox was overhauled by guess-works
I have owned this car for nearly 6 years .I replaced the clutch and had guess-works overhaul the gearbox whilst the engine was out the only thing that they replaced was the syncro on second gear that had some slight wear it starts first time in any weather and has never let me down its never failed a Mot in fact every time I’ve taken it in the examiner comments on how good it is and how well it runs.
The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears and has never been smoked in .
The body work has never been welded although it has a couple of scratches and small car park dings and one small dent to the top of one wing but had saying that it’s all original and for a 30 year old car it’s very impressive.

Asking £1,989 you will be pushed to find better for such a usable classic.
Collection only from Peterborough
